The decades-long friendship between three married couples is tested when one divorces, complicating their tradition of quarterly weekend getaways.

In the small Komori village, Ichiko unexpectedly returns from the city and begins a self-sufficient life. From sweet rice drinks on hot summer days to autumn braises, winter dumpling soups, and spring potato salads, she cooks daily with homegrown crops and vegetables. Through these meals, memories of her mother and long-forgotten times resurface.

As Havana slowly revolves through the year, wistful detective Mario Conde probes the sultry heart of the city to investigate dark and deadly crimes.

In winter, it is the shepherds themselves, hanging on to their sheep, who roll down the mountains in the snow. Accompanied by Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, these highland dwellers perform feats of pure survival. 　　This is humanity, trapped in a brutal but stunningly beautiful existence. To the melodic rhythms of camerawork, montage, and a lyrical score, Pelechian and Vartanov elevate it into a full-blown symphony—a symphony of being.
